When PI Anne Brown investigates an eleven year old murder, it soon becomes clear that no one wants were snooping around. 

Police, bureaucrats, politicians, and local thugs stand in her way, but she pushes ahead regardless. Eventually, Anne becomes target number one. Her teenage daughter faces the same fate.Time and clues run out. Threats end, and the body count begins to rise.

When her client calls it quits and abandons the case, Anne stands at a crossroads, and she questions whether there's any point in going-it alone.
